Anno Lucis (“in the Year of Light”) is a dating system used in Masonic ceremonial or commemorative proceedings, which is equivalent to the Gregorian year plus 4000. It is similar to Anno Mundi. For example, the date Anno Domini (AD) 2024 becomes Anno Lucis (AL) 6024. This calendar era, which would designate 4001 BC as 'year zero', was adopted in the 18th century as a simplification of the Anno Mundi era dating system used in the Hebrew calendar and borrowing from other ideas of that time regarding the year of creation.

Aer the Masoretic text was published, dating creation around 4000 BC became common, it was received with wide support. Proposed calculations of the date of creation, using the Masoretic from the 10th century to the 18th century, were numerous and fluctuated over many decades. Notably, Isaac Newton's calculation pointed at the year 4000 BC. For example, the date Anno Domini (AD) 2024 becomes Anno Lucis (AL) 6024. “In astronomy, axial precession is a gravity-induced, slow and continuous change in the orientation of an astronomical body's rotational axis. In particular, it refers to the gradual shi in the orientation of Earth's axis of rotation, which, like a wobbling top, traces out a pair of cones joined at their apices in a cycle of approximately 26,000 years (called a Great or Platonic Year in astrology). The term "precession" typically refers only to this largest secular motion; other changes in the alignment of Earth's axis - nutation and polar motion - are much smaller in magnitude. Earth's precession was historically called precession of the equinoxes because the equinoxes moved westward along the ecliptic relative to the fixed stars, opposite to the motion of the Sun along the ecliptic. This term is still used in non-technical discussions, that is, when detailed mathematics are absent. Historically, Hipparchus is credited with discovering precession of the equinoxes. The exact dates of his life are not known, but astronomical observations attributed to him by Ptolemy date from 147 BC to 127 BC. With improvements in the ability to calculate the gravitational force between planets during the first half of the 19th century, it was recognized that the ecliptic itself moved slightly, which was named planetary precession as early as 1863, while the dominant component was named lunisolar precession. Their combination was named general precession instead of precession of the equinoxes. Lunisolar precession is caused by the gravitational forces of the Moon and Sun on Earth's equatorial bulge, causing Earth's axis to move with respect to inertial space. Planetary precession (actually an advance) is due to the small angle between the gravitational force of the other planets on Earth and its orbital plane (the ecliptic), causing the plane of the ecliptic to shi slightly relative to inertial space. Lunisolar precession is about 500 times larger than planetary precession. In addition to the Moon and Sun, the other planets also cause a small movement of Earth's axis in inertial space, making the contrast in the terms lunisolar versus planetary misleading, so in 2006 the International Astronomical Union recommended that the dominant component be renamed the precession of the equator and the minor component be renamed precession of the ecliptic, but their combination is still named general precession.” Crystalinks

The technological inventiveness of Gemini essentially stopped, both here and in Egypt. The major indicator of social advancement was now incremental increases in

wealth and refinement. Wealth and money became the archaeological marker for growth during this age. Increases in wealth allowed for a process of urbanisation and increasing social complexity. The traditional date for the creation of civilisation is 3200 BC in the city-states of Sumer. Old Kingdom Egypt became the first nation-state in history around 2900 BC. Some archaeologists, noting the increased social complexity of early sites, have dated the creation of civilisation as early as 4000 BC. Written language, surprisingly, was created as Taurus solidified the older Gemini spoken language into a solid, permanent record. Writing was first used in religion and business to note the exchange of goods and wealth. Religion became more organised and focused around the Taurus symbol of the bull god as their chief deity. Religion was tied closely to the collection of wealth. The earliest examples of pictographic writing were of lists of goods and of real estate transactions. The pharaoh in Egypt functioned as the head of the temple warehouses, where all the wealth of Egypt was collected and distributed. The same process was happening with the En, the spiritual leaders in Mesopotamia. Megalithic tomb structures were built throughout Europe, beginning as early as 4000 BC. U'Baid and Sumerian temples were built over older temples, eventually creating (around 2900 BC) huge mountain-like stepped pyramids known as ziggurats. Egypt built huge stone pyramids beginning with the Old Kingdom period. Recent discoveries in Peru, dating to 3000 to 2600 BC, reveal a civilisation with huge monolithic pyramids that rival those of the Old World. Cities were built on a permanent hieratic plan with their walls facing the four cardinal directions and the main religious temple in the centre. Building in this way and adding a strict social hierarchy that defined a person's place in society was seen to mimic the permanent structure of heaven, thus creating permanence here on earth. In this process, cities became huge monumental villages. The Scorpio opposite energy was also evident in this age. The religions of this age are all strongly focused on death and rebirth in an aerlife. The burial rituals of both Mesopotamia and Egypt reveal an overwhelming consideration for this aerlife. Rulers were buried in huge tombs together with all of their collected wealth, including servants and retainers, in order to fully enjoy their life aer death. A similar focus on this type of burial is seen in the Archaic Culture in the Americas at this same time.

The sun passes through this constellation from mid-May to late June; therefore its best observed in the early wintertime. The red star alpha Tau, called Aldebaran, represents the glowing eye of the bull and white star beta Tau, called El Nath is thought to be the pushing horn. The open cluster of the Hyades forms the head.

Isis is the feminine archetype for creation; she is the goddess of fertility and motherhood. She has gone by many names and played many roles in history and mythology - as goddess and female creator. Her name literally means Queen of the Throne. Her original headdress was an empty throne chair belonging to her murdered husband, Osiris. As the personification of the throne, she was an important source of the Pharaoh's power. The pharaoh was depicted as her child, who sat on the throne she provided. Her cult was popular throughout Egypt, but the most important sanctuaries were at Behbeit

El-Hagar in the Nile delta, and, beginning in the reign with Nectanebo I (380-362 BCE), on the island of Philae in Upper Egypt. The symbol of Isis in the heavens was Sirius, known colloquially as the Dog Star reflecting its prominence in its constellation, Canis Major (Big Dog). Sirius was greatly beloved because its appearance marked not only the beginning of a New Year but also the annual Inundation of the Nile, which signified renewed wealth and prosperity for Egypt. As the power which shot forth the Nile flood, she was called Sati. As the embracer of the land and producer of fertility by her waters she was called Anqet. As the goddess of cultivated lands and fields, she was Sekhet. As the goddess of the harvest she was Renenet. As one linked to rebirth, she was associated with the Phoenix. As the producer and giver of life, she was Ankhet. As the great lady of the Underworld, who assisted in transforming the bodies of the blessed dead into those wherein they were to live in the realm of Osiris, she was Ament - the hidden goddess - mother of Ra. In this capacity, she shared with Osiris the attribute of the Giver of Life providing food for the dead and the living. At a comparatively early period in Egyptian history, Isis had absorbed the attributes of all the great primitive goddesses, and of all the local goddesses such as Nekhebet, Uatchet, Net, Bast, Hathor, etc., and she was even identified as the female counterpart of the primeval abyss of water from which sprang all life. It is impossible to limit the attributes of Isis, who possesses the powers of a water goddess, an earth goddess, a corn goddess, a star goddess, a queen of the Underworld, and a woman, and that she united in herself one or more of the attributes of all the goddesses of Egypt known to us. Isis was venerated first in Egypt - the only goddess worshiped by all Egyptians alike, and whose influence was so widespread that she had become completely syncretic with the Greek goddess Demeter. Aer the conquest of Egypt by Alexander the Great, and the Hellenization of the Egyptian culture initiated by Ptolemy I Soter, Isis eventually became known as Queen of Heaven. Following the conquest of Egypt by Alexander the Great the worship of Isis spread throughout the Greco-Roman world. Tacitus writes that aer Julius Caesar's assassination, a temple in honour of Isis had been decreed; Augustus suspended this, and tried to turn Romans back to the Roman deities who were closely associated with the state. Eventually, the Roman emperor Caligula abandoned the Augustan wariness toward what was described as oriental cults, and it was in his reign that the Isiac festival of the Navigium Isidis was established in Rome.

According to Josephus, Caligula donned female garb and took part in the mysteries he instituted, and in the Hellenistic age Isis acquired a "new rank as a leading goddess of the Mediterranean world." Vespasian, along with Titus, practiced incubation in the Roman Iseum. Domitian built another Iseum along with a Serapeum. Trajan appears before Isis and Horus, presenting them with votive offerings of wine, in a bas-relief on his triumphal arch in Rome. Hadrian decorated his villa at Tibur with Isiac scenes. Galerius regarded Isis as his protector. Roman perspectives on cults were syncretic, seeing in new deities, merely local aspects of a familiar one. For many Romans, Egyptian Isis was an aspect of Phrygian Cybele, whose orgiastic rites were long-naturalized at Rome, indeed, she was known as Isis of Ten Thousand Names. Among these names of Roman Isis, Queen of Heaven is outstanding for its long and continuous history. Herodotus identified Isis with the Greek and Roman goddesses of agriculture, Demeter and Ceres. In later years, Isis also had temples throughout Europe, Africa and Asia. An alabaster statue of Isis from the 3rd century BCE, found in Ohrid, in the Republic of Macedonia, is depicted on the obverse of the Macedonian 10 denars banknote, issued in 1996. The male first name "Isidore", means in Greek "gi of Isis" (similar to "Theodore", "God's gi"). The name, which became common in Roman times, survived the suppression of the Isis worship and remains popular up to the present Ğ being among others the name of several Christian saints. The Isis cult in Rome was a template for the Christian Madonna Cult.

The cult of Isis became very prominent in late antiquity, when it began to absorb the cults of many other goddesses with strong cult centers. Like other Egyptian deities, the cult of Isis spread outside Egypt, and became the focus of a centralized cult in the Hellenistic period. This is when the cult of Osiris became widespread as well. Temples to Isis began to be built outside of Egypt. In many locations, devotees of Isis considered the local goddess to be Isis, but under a different name. To the Greeks she was known as Demeter - to the Romans as Ceres - though she played other goddess roles in all ancient civilizations. Other Mediterranean goddesses, such as Demeter, Astarte, and Aphrodite, were also identified with her. Throughout the Greco-Roman world, the cult of Isis became one of the most significant of the mystery religions, and many classical writers refer to her temples, cults, and rites. Due to her attributes as a protector and mother, as well as a lusty aspect gained when she absorbed some aspects of Hathor, she became the patron goddess of sailors, who spread her worship with the trading ships circulating the Mediterranean Sea. During the formative centuries of Christianity, the religion of Isis drew converts from every corner of the Roman Empire. In Italy itself, Egyptian religion was an important force. At Pompeii, archaeological evidence reveals that the cult of Isis was prominent. In Rome, temples were built and obelisks erected in her honor. In Greece, traditional centers of worship in Delos, Delphi, Eleusis and Athens were taken over by followers of Isis, and this occurred in northern Greece as well. Harbors of Isis were to be found on the Arabian Sea and the Black Sea. Inscriptions show followers in Gaul, Spain, Pannonia, Germany, Arabia, Asia Minor, Portugal, and many shrines even in Britain.

The gods showed their favor in a very Taurus way by showering wealth and goods on those who worshiped them. The temples became the center for the collection and redistribution of wealth, and priests were the administrators of this activity.Taurus spiritual thought revolved around the ideal of creating heaven here on earth by building cities in a hierarchical fashion to mimic the perceived structure of heaven. Towns were built with their walls facing the four directions. Temples were built as the center of town. Over the course of centuries they were constantly being rebuilt over the old foundation. Eventually these temples grew into huge mountainous pyramid structures called ziggurats in Mesopotamia that could be seen from miles away.

The Egyptian pyramids were built at this same time. New finds in Peru have found huge pyramids being built there at this same time. In this same process, towns grew to become cities. The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, says the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, says the Lord of hosts” (Hag.2:6-9 KJV). It is clear from the scriptures that there has never been a time in history when God has shaken the heavens, the earth, and all the nations. But, this is what he says he will do just before Jesus returns as King of kings at the end of this age. See also Heb.12:26. 2. The Heavens and Earth Will Be Shaken “Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying, I will shake the heavens and the earth; And I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms, and I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the heathen; and I will overthrow the chariots, and those that ride in them; and the horses and their riders shall come down, every one by the sword of his brother. Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, says the Lord, and will make you as a signet: for I have chosen you, says the Lord of hosts” (Hag. 2:21-23 KJV). Clearly, this is an end of the age prophecy. Here, we see that God shakes the heavens and the earth, overthrowing the kingdoms (nations) of the world. “In that day,” is a reference to the end of the age (Isa.2:17-21; Zeph.1:7-10, 12-16; Joel 3:9-18; Zech.14:1-8,13,20). And as we will see, it is also very clear that God gives the prophetic end-time Zerubbabel great power and authority to represent him and proclaim his good news message to the world. 3. Past and Present Building of the Temple “And now, I ask you to consider from this day and forward, from the time before a stone was laid upon a stone in the temple of the Lord” (Hag.2:15 Para.). “Consider now from this day and forward, from the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, even from the day that the foundation of the Lord’s temple was laid, consider it”(Hag.2:18 Para.). Both of these references about laying the foundation and construction of the temple refer to a past and a future fulfillment.
